Stuart Harrod Attends Rail and Intermodal Transportation Program at Michigan Tech

2013 Aug 2

Stuart Harrod of Dayton recently took part in the annual Rail and Intermodal Transportation Program (RITP), a collaborative program hosted by Michigan Technological University and the University of Wisconsin–Superior.

RITP is designed for students with an interest in rail and intermodal transportation engineering. Students learn about and ride trains, giving them a first-hand look at locomotives in action. Participants are also given technical tours of rail and intermodal facilities in Marquette, Mich. and Duluth, Minn.

Students get to experience life on two college campuses over the course of the program by staying in a residence hall, exploring the universities, and meeting others with similar backgrounds and interests.

Michigan Technological University is a leading public research university developing new technologies and preparing students to create the future for a prosperous and sustainable world. Michigan Tech offers more than 130 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in engineering; forest resources; computing; technology; business; economics; natural, physical and environmental sciences; arts; humanities; and social sciences.
